The UK Ammonia Alliance will be holding our first networking event, where you can connect with members of the Alliance and representatives from the wider ammonia sector.
Join us for some festive cheer as we celebrate the Alliance’s successes since our launch and share more about our plans for 2026.
Our Winter Social will be an opportunity to learn more about the UKAA’s planned workstreams in 2026, meet with the founding members and network with other industry representatives.
Since our formal establishment in October with our 11 founding members (see below) we have achieved:
- Creation of a core network of supportive parliamentarians, which will be further expanded next year.
- Very positive engagement with Michael Shanks, Minister for Energy, via a meeting in the department and a supportive quote from the Minister for our report launch.
- A cross-departmental roundtable with senior officials from DESNZ, DBT, DfT, DEFRA and DSIT.
- Hosting of a parliamentary breakfast, in collaboration with Bill Esterson MP, Chair of the Energy Security and Net Zero Committee.
- Publication of our first policy paper, with eight core recommendations for government and industry commitments for next steps.
- Establishment of good relationships with the Ammonia Energy Association and Ammonia Europe, with both providing quotes for the UKAA launch press release, and UKAA having formal representation at the AEA annual conference in Houston in October.
